Executive Chef, Kevin DesChenes has had a 15 years of experience in hospitality and restaurant businesses.


Kevin's restaurant experience includes Executive Chef/F&B Director duties at McGraths catering in Newport RI, and Executive Chef/GM duties at Aqua Bistro in Peterborough NH as well as other restaurants/catering services in Providence and Block Island RI, Cape Cod MA, and Greensboro NC. 


With goals of consistently increasing the quality and sophistication of the menu and the consistency and quality of service Chef Kevin hopes to become a contributing member of a growing culinary scene here in Burlington VT.

General Manager, Kevin McCabe has 17 years of experience as owner operator in the industry.

 

After graduating from St. Michael's college in 1992, Kevin opened the local award winning eatery 'New England Wings.'  The restaurant won the Burlington Free Press 'Best Wings' competition nine years in a row delivering a quality product in a fast paced environment. Kevin handled all day to day operations, including all managerial and owner responsibilities. Such aspects included staffing, payroll, financials, inventory and ordering, and marketing concepts. 

 

Kevin's knowledge of both the restaurant industry and the local community will ensure a successful operation of 156 Bistro
